Description: This dataset was compiled “as is” for State of Wyoming samples and included in the WSGS Groundwater Atlas without quality control review. The only alterations made to this dataset were to format and/or shorten the field names for database functionality. This dataset can be downloaded from the WSGS GIS data page. Many points are located only to the nearest 40 acre parcel although there are increasing numbers of global positioning system (gps) locations. Due to the transition to ePermit some data may be missing and because of limited download capabilities wells without county locations do not appear. Negative depths and other anomalous values may warrant additional research. e-Permit Beneficial Use Categories, https://drive.google.com/file/d/14cvl9vttUfSafINzGRotkuUVi5WlShFi/view

Description: The database contains geochemical and physical data obtained from more than 114,000 samples of deep formation and produced groundwaters in the United States. Data for nearly 25,000 samples are available in the state of Wyoming, most of which were obtained by the USGS from Wyoming Oil and Gas Commission (WOGCC) records. The entire USGS PWGD can be downloaded via direct webpage links in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx), comma separated values (.csv) text, and Rdata (.Rdata) file formats. PWGD users are strongly encouraged to read the attached “Download Documentation” PDF which includes source, liability disclaimer, and data limitation information as well as compilation procedures and variable tables. This dataset was compiled “as is” for State of Wyoming samples and included in the WSGS Groundwater Atlas without quality control review, or any alteration.

Description: The data was compiled from the USGS National Water Information System (NWIS) Water Quality for Wyoming Database at: https://nwis.waterdata.usgs.gov/wy/nwis/qwdata. The database allows the user to query water quality samples based on varied site and data criteria. Navigating the NWIS Water Quality Database can be challenging so the USGS provides a Help System Webpage to assist new users at: https://help.waterdata.usgs.gov/. All users are strongly encouraged to visit the Help System to review USGS documentation pertaining to data policies, news and appropriate uses. This dataset contains only locations of NWIS sites with links to the site data, was compiled “as is” for State of Wyoming samples, and included in the Groundwater Atlas without any alteration by WSGS.
