Description: The data was compiled from the USGS National Water Information System (NWIS) Water Quality for Wyoming Database at: https://nwis.waterdata.usgs.gov/wy/nwis/qwdata. The database allows the user to query water quality samples based on varied site and data criteria. Navigating the NWIS Water Quality Database can be challenging so the USGS provides a Help System Webpage to assist new users at: https://help.waterdata.usgs.gov/. All users are strongly encouraged to visit the Help System to review USGS documentation pertaining to data policies, news and appropriate uses. This dataset contains only locations of NWIS sites with links to the site data, was compiled “as is” for State of Wyoming samples, and included in the Groundwater Atlas without any alteration by WSGS.
