Title: WSGS Subsurface Formation Characteristics
Author:
Comments: This web service contains WSGS-compiled attributes that contribute to understanding a formation's reservoir and/or resource (oil, gas, water) potential and structural properties.
Subject: Stratigraphic interpretations from oil and gas wells throughout Wyoming were compiled or newly correlated to provide a publicly available, quality-controlled dataset of subsurface geologic information. This dataset encompasses Precambrian through Eocene formations, with a focus on established and potential oil and gas reservoirs. Contour maps of potential and emerging continuous reservoirs illustrate regional trends in formation depth and thickness.
