Description: This file is a digital supplement to The Teton Fault Map (WSGS Open File Report 2009-01). It shows the location of eight paleoseismic fault trenches shown in the map. Trench locations are at Granite Canyon (1 trench), Leigh Lake (2 trenches), Steamboat Mountain (2 trenches), Buffalo Bowl (1 trench), and Antelope Flats (2 trenches). The year each trench was excavated is shown in the attribute “Year”. Other points show the approximate location where the Teton fault scarp was imaged in Jenny Lake and other possible paleoseismic features (backflooded delta front and submerged shorelines) described by Pierce and others (1998) that are currently concealed by the high-water extent of Jackson Lake. Locations for the Leigh Lake, Steamboat Mountain, Buffalo Bowl, and Antelope Flats trench sites are based on GPS coordinates collected in the field at the time of each study. The location of the Granite Canyon site is based a map (Figure 3.10) from Byrd (1995). The location of the Teton fault scarp in Jenny Lake was scaled from maps and figures from Larsen et al., (2016). The location of possible paleoseismic features in Jackson Lake were digitized from figures or descriptions from Pierce and others (1998; Figure 14, 19, and 28).
