<idAbs>Layer contains location and details of known uranium occurrences, uranium prospects, and radioactive anomalies. Data was compiled from WSGS internal notes. It is symbolized by type and includes attributes such as host formation, deposit type, details of the occurrence, and the original reference. For the purpose of this dataset, a uranium occurrence is defined as a concentration in which the amount of the element, as determined by either radiometric or chemical analysis, is greater than 50 parts per million (0.005 percent). Equivalent uranium (eU) concentration is determined by measuring the radioactivity of a sample. Chemical uranium (cU) concentration is determined by quantitative chemical analysis. Alternatively, an occurrence (or anomaly) is also defined as a locality with ten times or more radioactivity than the normal background radiation. This definition of occurrence is the same as used in previous WSGS publications RMR 97-01, RMR 97-02, RMR 95-1, OFR 93-1, OFR 93-2, OFR 93-3, OFR 93-4.</idAbs>
