USGS MRDS

MRDS (Mineral Resource Data System) is a collection of reports describing metallic and nonmetallic mineral resources. Included are deposit name, location, commodity, deposit description, geologic characteristics, production, reserves, resources, and references. It subsumes the original MRDS and MAS/MILS. This dataset provides a subset of the database comprised of those data fields deemed most useful and which most frequently contain some information. Resource descriptions here include an indication of the overall quantity and diversity of information they contain. Many records in this database are simple reports of commodity at some location, but some records provide substantial detail of the geological setting and industrial exploitation of the resource.

USGS COALQUAL

Since the mid-1970s, the USGS has maintained a coal quality database (COALQUAL) of national scope named USCHEM, which currently contains data for over 13,000 samples. A subset of the USCHEM database called COALQUAL Version 1.3 was initially published in 1994 and was followed by Version 2.0 in 1997. Version 3.0 of the COALQUAL database represents a major editing effort to resolve some of the DOS software limitations used by earlier versions of the database.

WSGS 2018 sample compilation (incomplete)

WSGS publications and other sources were used to amass data for more than 3,000 sites currently depicted on the map, focusing on sample locations. Data include coal, aggregates, uranium, metals, and other minerals, specifically addressing analyses for mineral commodities deemed critical to U.S. economic and national security in 2018. Locations of chemical analyses are shown in this layer. Not all commodities and counties were fully compiled; these data are an incomplete representation of samples in Wyoming. Source: Sutherland, W.M., Stafford, J.E., Carroll, C.J., Gregory, R.W., and Kehoe, K.S., 2018, Mines and minerals map of Wyoming: Wyoming State Geological Survey.

[ "geochemistry", "Wyoming", "USGS", "WSGS", "Rock", "NURE", "Coal"
Map Service
Data", "Service", "Map Service", "ArcGIS Server"
[ [ -111.054700000314, 0 ], [ 2.0301925431454E-5, 45.0032999996438 ]
E308
WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere
USGS NGDB bedrock

Geochemical analysis of rock samples collected and analyzed by the USGS.
